An artist born in Córdoba, Argentina, Lucía Eva Morales is also a gynecologist and cytologist. She primarily paints inspired by the cells she observes under the microscope. Her work falls under "Bio-Art," a fusion of her professions as a doctor and a painter. This connection is reflected in the title of each piece.

Most of her paintings are done in oil and synthetic paints, but she also creates watercolors and collages.

I am inspired by elements that transmit positive energy. On the canvas, they may appear static, but in reality, like everything in the cosmos, they are in motion. Everything vibrates; it is a play of colors.

About the artist

Lucía Eva Morales was born in the city of Villa María, in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. She is both an artist and a surgeon, specializing in gynecology and cytology (the study of cells). It is from this latter field that she draws her inspiration, discovering within it a universe of cells rich in shapes and colors. From this material, she gathers ideas and transforms them into art.

She began her studies in drawing and painting at the age of five at the School of Fine Arts in Villa María, under the guidance of Professor José Martinez, continuing her training with him until she was 17. At that age, she enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the National University of Córdoba, where she graduated with a degree in Surgery. In 1996, she obtained the title of Medical Cytologist from the National Academy of Medicine of the Argentine Republic.

Throughout this period, she continued to refine her artistic skills, participating in numerous competitions and exhibitions, earning awards and special mentions. Notably, at the age of ten, she won First Prize in the Poster Contest at the Víctor Mercante Normal School in Villa María. At sixteen, she won the "Painting Contest" organized by the School of Fine Arts of Villa María. She has held numerous exhibitions in Argentina, including a prominent show sponsored by Schering Laboratory in Buenos Aires and another at the Cimesa Salon in Mendoza in December 2007.

Her primary mediums are oil and synthetic paints, but she also creates watercolors and collages. This fusion of different elements is reflected in the bold colors and textures of her works.
